Highlight's from our 2009 season Opener.

We sure had the sub-moister at hand for a Fast, Opening Race Sat Night.
Most thought it was a bit greasy at first but after a few laps the drivers were in for a fast, racy track.
IMCA Modified:
Brady Coen, Darren Deloach and Adam Morris had quite the battles throughout the main event. Brady took the win. continuing his dominance. Raymond Dechant looked to be the fastest on the track. Going from last to 4th on a very smooth and tacky clay surface, his motor gave way down the front straight on lap 5.
IMCA Stock:
We had a fast track Sat night and the stock class put on on heck of a show for the crowd. The first half of the race was side by side battles with no real dominance by anyone. # 12 Kelly Yutterman pulled out with a flat left front.
#43 Took the lead with 2 laps to go when he got position going into turn one under #5 who till then was leading the race from pole.
1st place goes to Cameron Austin and second was held by Joe shoup
IMCA Hobby Stock:
A first lap roll over had the whole track on there feet. In 3rd place,#28 Kurt Kennedy was outside coming out of 2 in a tight, two wide first lap. Not sure how it started but it ended with Kurt's LF tire blowing as he tried to regain control. The rim dug into the dirt and sent the nose straight to the wall. The nose of the car drove up the wall and hit the top of the fence. The car then landed passenger door onto the top of the concrete wall, barrel rolling to the inside of the back straight resting back-word's driver-side down. Kurt was not seriously injured. I tried to call him today to see how he was doing but the # we have for him has been disconnected. The car did not fare so well though. His brother in the # 45 car Mike Kennedy took the win with Fred Elliot in second.
Hobby Truck:
With two new trucks and a couple more who plan to Race with us this year our Hobby Truck Class is getting exciting. #63 Buddy Shoup took the win with Jerry Wooley in 2nd.

Rules Changed for 2009

1. Hobby Stock will be IMCA Rules

2. Mini Stocks Will be aloud Exaust headers and 8" rims and tires.

3. Street class is now called Circle Drags and will run on nights

the "Everything Goes" is not scheduled "IF" the paticipants are there.

4. 2009 "Registration Late Fee" will not be a late fee untill March 27.
